Kien starts to drink and be destructive due to oanh death knowing he could’ve did something to prevent it from happening. Answer to question 3 The conflict is between kien and himself. Kien starts to beat himself up over knowing all he had to do was do his job and kill those women but he didn’t and ended up getting a friend killed instead. Today was a good school day it went by really fast. The only thing bad that happened was that my hair puffed up from the humidity and rain. Today the girls basketball team played in play offs against Baldwin county and won meaning we are going to the next round I hope the boys win tomorrow’s game.

Pg. 86 paragraph 2 Quote 1 “He lurched over to his desk and picked up his pen, then almost mechanically began to write” Answer to question 1 This quote is related to the writer theme. Kien has finally started to write down his feelings instead of letting them bother him and take over his mind.
