In todays letters that were read harpo changed. Harpo turned down the mayors wife “opportunity” which seemed to cause an extreme problem. The mayor’s wife asked harpo if she wanted to be a servant and harpo responded with “hell no”. This then cause a physical altercation which lead to her going to jail. In jail she finds herself acting like Celie doing whatever she’s told.

Today I was unable to go to school because I was feeling very light headed and sick to my stomach. I stayed in bed most of the day and didn’t eat anything at all. My friends Joia, Lay, Jwill, and Alfred called and checked up on me which really brightened my day and made me feel better I will be returning to school tomorrow.

Today was an okay day I was unable to attend my friend Ariel birthday dinner but I know she looked amazing and had a great time. I spent the rest of my day with my grandma cooking and talking to her it was very nice spending time with her.

Shug is sick and stays with mr. And Celie so that they can take care of her. Do to snug being so sick one will realize how rude she is to Mr. and Celie.
